Walking on Ice

Recently our area has been hit with sever low temps and lots and lots of snow. I'm definitely not a fan of snow or very cold weathers. Right before we got hit with almost 20 inches of snow, we had a little lul in the sever freezing temperatures that we ventured out to go to our lake by our house. The lake froze over. It was fun (and a bit scary) to be walking on the ice. The kids had a blast to have walked to the middle of the lake. Some people were even ice fishing around where we were standing and a few teenagers tried to play hockey. Scenes from my childhood replayed in my head as I walked towards the center. It was a little terrifying since parts of the ice showed a few cracks however, my husband reassured me that it was frozen stiff. We were able to enjoy the hour of peace and quite and warmth before the next couple of snow storm hit us again. Now to continue to dig out of our driveway. Enjoy!!

Still a nurse

I'm considered an essential personal at my work place. That means I still have to head into work wether or not I like. It means my one hour commute might take me 3 hours, but I have to plan in advance, I still have to make an attempt to get in. Its one of those jobs that's really rewarding,  but on snow days where I would love to have a snow day and stay home cuddled reading a book by my fireplace, I still have to get my warm nose out there and head in...This is how I feel, when I have to work in the midst of snow storms!
